See ya later SLC, hello Nevada

With the come of the rain we decided to head out. SLC was kinda boring. We probably could have done more but heading farther west seemed like a better idea. We were back on 80 and heading out west again. Here's what we started our drive in.

The rain was so heavy, it was difficult to see. It didn't help that the wiper blades on the car were bad. Oh yeah I should give a shout out to Elizabeth, Sarah's sister for letting us use her car. It's a navy 2005 scion xB with unique thumbprints on the side, no hubcaps, and fresh tires.

We knew our next site to see was the salt flats. I was excited to see them as I have heard how neat they are. Also we were going to try and see what the scion tops out at, which sarah found out was 85. I don't know how she got it up that fast but that was pedal to the floor (which is most of the highway driving in the mountains, and even then we were in the far right lane getting passed by semis) So her speeding seemed some what of a marvel to me. Anyways be EXTREMELY CAREFUL driving in Wyoming. The cops there are DICKS.

Anyways here's a progression to the salt flats.

Between SLC and the salt flats on interstate 80 there is a statue with no stop to admire it. This statue is called the "Metaphor: The Tree of Utah". This thing is like 90 feet tall. Word on the street is that Utah doesn't like it so doesn't build a place to stop and see it.

This stretch of I-80 is the longest stretch of interstate between exits, 37 miles between exits. Don't miss your exit!!

Our way to the salt flats:

We were able to stop at a rest stop, so we could play in the salt. Always fun!

Feet.

Salt mess:

After the fun we head back west on 80. We entered Nevada. The first thing I wanted to do was pretty clear.

My first time playing the slot machine. Guess what, I lost. No surprise. I was down 5 dollars. It was nickel slots which was so fun. Sean won 10 nickels. He kept his winnings and hopefully has them the rest of his life.
