SLC

So we arrived just north of SLC. We were heading for Little Antelope Island. This place is supposed to be an awesome peninsula surrounded by the infamous Great Salt Lake.

Well we arrived and to our first surprise the welcome sign for the park had a big CAMPGROUND FULL. I was a little bummed. So we were in the visitor center parking lot trying to figure out what we were going to do because it was already 5 pm. This nice guy that had just ridden his bike along the park was packing up and stopped to chat with us. He was really cool, had some tats. We were asking where he'd recommend camping and so on. He told us some close spots but told us how much they sucked. He told us where to hike and stuff like that. I had done the research/planning for SLC. There were of course backups. Before we head out we noticed this really neat bird at the visitor's center.

Off to the back up! We drove south past SLC and found our campground the Spruces in Wasatch National Forest. We arrived at like 9 pm. It was already dark and raining. Our first night camping we had to setup in the rain and darkness. Great. But we did see a huge moose in the campground. That was awesome to see. I tried to snap a pic but it didn't turn out. Here's some pictures from our hike and our trip out.
